ANDREA BANKS RAIMEY
Owner and Clinical Therapist
Essential Reflections Counseling and Consultation

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in private practice in Dayton, OH, and hold Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Social Work from The Ohio State University.

Over the past several years, I have worked with clients experiencing a wide array of psychological disorders including depression, anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anger management, problems in peer relationships, and family conflict.

My clinical experience includes individual therapy, group therapy, couples therapy, community mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence prevention and treatment, and psychoeducation.  I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) techniques in providing services to a range of clients, including pre-teens and adolescents, college students, adults, and families.  Additionally, I have provided clinical supervision for agency staff in the Dayton and Columbus, OH areas and for social work students from over ten colleges and universities.

I approach therapy with a positive and non-judgmental attitude and take a holistic approach in working collaboratively with my clients.
